Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 24 August 2026

Welcome to the Private Power website. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and your interactions with Private Power through the website.

By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue your use of the website.

1. About Private Power

Private Power provides energy, electrical, water-pumping and related infrastructure solutions in Zimbabwe. Our services include solar installations, borehole and water pumping solutions, generator sales and services, irrigation systems, substation construction and electrical infrastructure, and maintenance and support services.

Information presented on this website is intended to provide a general overview of our company and services. The exact scope, specifications, pricing and conditions applicable to a particular project will depend on the customer’s requirements and any quotation, proposal or agreement issued for that project.

2. Use of This Website

You may use the Private Power website for lawful purposes, including learning about our services, contacting our team and requesting information or quotations.

You must not use this website:

  • For any unlawful, fraudulent or malicious purpose
  • To interfere with the operation or security of the website
  • To attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server or associated systems
  • To introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful material
  • To collect or misuse information belonging to other website users
  • To reproduce or commercially exploit website content without appropriate permission

We reserve the right to restrict access to the website where we reasonably believe it is being misused.

3. Service Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that descriptions of our services are clear and accurate. However, information provided on this website is general and should not be considered a final technical specification, quotation or contractual commitment.

The suitability of a particular solar system, borehole solution, irrigation system, generator, electrical installation or other service depends on factors specific to the property or project.

These may include site conditions, energy requirements, water requirements, equipment specifications, available infrastructure, installation requirements and other technical considerations.

A proper assessment may therefore be required before we can recommend a solution or provide final project specifications.

4. Quotations and Enquiries

You may contact Private Power through the website, telephone, email or other available communication channels to request information or a quotation.

Submitting an enquiry or quotation request does not automatically create a contract between you and Private Power.

Any quotation we provide may be subject to:

  • Site assessment or inspection
  • Confirmation of technical requirements
  • Equipment availability
  • Project location and accessibility
  • Labour and installation requirements
  • Applicable taxes, duties or other charges
  • The validity period stated in the quotation
  • Any additional terms included with the quotation

A project will only proceed once the applicable quotation, agreement, payment requirements or other necessary arrangements have been accepted.

5. Pricing

Prices displayed or discussed through the website, where applicable, may be indicative unless expressly stated otherwise.

Final pricing may depend on the equipment selected, project specifications, installation requirements, location, transportation, labour, material availability and other factors relevant to the work.

The price stated in an approved quotation or agreement will govern the relevant project, subject to the terms contained in that document.

6. Payments

Payment requirements may vary depending on the type and scope of the service being provided.

Where payment terms are specified in a quotation, invoice, proposal or service agreement, the customer is responsible for making payments according to those terms.

Private Power may require deposits, progress payments or full payment at particular stages of a project depending on the nature of the work.

7. Equipment and Product Availability

The availability of solar panels, batteries, inverters, generators, pumps, electrical equipment, irrigation components and other products may change.

Where a particular product becomes unavailable, Private Power may discuss an appropriate alternative with the customer. We will not knowingly substitute materially different equipment in an agreed project without appropriate communication with the customer.

Product specifications may also change where manufacturers update or discontinue equipment.

8. Installation and Project Requirements

Some services require access to the customer’s property, equipment or project site.

Customers are responsible for providing reasonable access necessary for assessments, installation, servicing or maintenance at agreed times.

The customer should also disclose relevant information that could affect the safe or successful completion of the work, including known electrical problems, structural issues, underground infrastructure, access restrictions or other site conditions.

Additional work identified after an assessment or during installation may require a revised quotation or separate approval.

9. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information when requesting services or quotations.

Where incorrect, incomplete or misleading information materially changes the scope of a project, Private Power may revise the recommended solution, project schedule or quotation.

Customers should use installed systems and equipment according to the instructions provided by Private Power and, where applicable, the equipment manufacturer.

Unauthorised alterations, repairs or modifications may affect the performance, safety or applicable warranty of equipment.

10. Warranties

Equipment supplied by Private Power may be covered by manufacturer warranties. The duration and conditions of these warranties vary depending on the manufacturer and product.

Where Private Power provides a workmanship or installation warranty, the applicable conditions will be communicated as part of the relevant quotation, invoice, agreement or project documentation.

A warranty may not cover damage or failure resulting from circumstances such as:

  • Misuse or improper operation
  • Unauthorised modification or repair
  • Failure to follow operating or maintenance instructions
  • Damage caused by third parties
  • Accidents or physical damage
  • Conditions outside the equipment’s specified operating limits
  • Events outside Private Power’s reasonable control

Any specific warranty documentation supplied with a product or project takes precedence over general information presented on this website.

11. Maintenance and Repairs

Regular maintenance may be necessary to keep solar, generator, pumping, irrigation and electrical systems operating safely and efficiently.

Unless specifically included in an agreement, installation of equipment does not automatically include unlimited future maintenance or repairs.

Where maintenance or repair work is requested, Private Power may inspect the equipment before confirming the work required and associated costs.

12. Project Timelines

Any project completion date or estimated timeframe provided by Private Power is based on the information and circumstances available at that time.

Project schedules may be affected by factors including equipment availability, weather conditions, site accessibility, customer-requested changes, third-party delays, transportation issues and circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes affecting an agreed project schedule.

13. Website Information

We aim to keep information on the Private Power website accurate and current. However, website content may occasionally contain errors, outdated information or technical inaccuracies.

We may update, correct, remove or change website content without prior notice.

14. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of the Private Power website, including its written content, branding, graphics, layouts and other original materials, belongs to Private Power or is used with appropriate permission.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Private Power will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses resulting solely from the use of, or inability to use, this website.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit liability where such liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Liability relating to a specific installation, product, maintenance service or other contracted project may also be governed by the quotation, agreement, warranty or other documentation applicable to that project.

17. Events Outside Our Control

Private Power will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations where this results from circumstances reasonably outside our control.

Such circumstances may include severe weather, natural disasters, power or telecommunications failures, transportation disruption, supply-chain interruptions, government actions, civil disturbances or other events that could not reasonably have been prevented.

Where possible, we will communicate with affected customers and work toward an appropriate solution.

18. Privacy and Personal Information

Information you provide through this website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By submitting information through a contact or quotation form, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that Private Power may use it to respond to your enquiry or provide the requested service.

Please review our Privacy Policy for further information about how personal information is collected, used and protected.

19. Changes to These Terms

Private Power may update these Terms and Conditions when necessary to reflect changes to our services, website, business practices or applicable requirements.

The latest version will be published on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top will indicate when the terms were most recently revised.

Continued use of the website after an update means that your subsequent use will be subject to the updated Terms and Conditions.

20. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of Zimbabwe.

Any dispute arising from the use of this website or these Terms and Conditions will be handled in accordance with applicable Zimbabwean law, subject to any rights or remedies available under applicable legislation.
